Episode 12 - January 14, 2007

January 14th, 2007

Welcome to another episode of “Fast Times at China Buffet”! Yes, I know we said in the last episode that there was never going to be another episode, but that was only melodramtic lamenting of college and it’s impact on all of our schedules. Well, Bill, Matt, and David got together and recorded this episode at China Buffet while Bill and Matt were on winter break. We discuss things such as the After Dark Films Horrorfest, crazy college stories, Matt and Bill’s college careers thus far, Tivoli Island, Bill’s soda throne, and much, much more. It is approx. 1 hour and 20 minutes of raw, unedited goodness. Enjoy.

Episode 11 - Farewell To China Buffet

January 14th, 2007

We’re back…with an episode from 4 months ago! Yes, this was the last episode of “Fast Times at China Buffet” recorded with our entire cast…everyone besides David, who is now a senior in high school, went to college. Specifically - Bill went to UW-Whitewater, Brian went to Marquette, Sara went to UW-Milwaukee, Matt went to UW-Madison, and Jay went to MATC. I don’t remember what we talked about, because I didn’t edit the episode at all; it’s only 40 minutes in length anyways. We did talk about Snakes on a Plane though, because we went and saw it after recording this.

Episode 9 - April 28, 2006

June 20th, 2006

Back at long last! Sorry for being gone for so long. Yes, this episode was recorded over two months ago, but it’s still true to that classic Fast Times at China Buffet formula (or something). On this episode, we discuss Fast Times at China Buffet (yes, a little vanity), new photo cameras, and amid all the other topics Matt and David make fun of Sara yet again. Featuring Matthew Boelter, David Klug, and Sara Zoellick.

New Episode Soon?

May 9th, 2006

You know, it’s nice to have listeners and friends who understand that we, the cast of Fast Times at China Buffet, can not make it out to eat chinese food every week, even for podcasting. Still though, has it been almost 20 days since our last episode? Yes. However, I do have a raw file for the Episode 9 to be sitting on my hard drive, which should be edited and released this Saturday (don’t quote me on that, but I’m pretty sure). In the mean time, check out the China Buffet Lexicon and Fortune Cookie Archives on this site if you haven’t seen those yet.

iTunes Feedback Part II

April 22nd, 2006

If you’ve been keeping tabs on this site, you’ll recall that our first (and only, until now) iTunes feedback was less than favorable. However, now another person named Modern Mafia has left a comment, and this time it’s highly positive:

“You guys are cool, don’t worry about whats-her-faces review…I definitely encourage eating while podcasting, I do it on mine. And I feel a show with more than one person doesn’t necessarily need a straight topic because eventually it will be sidetracked. Anyways, keep up the awesome work and party on!”

Thank you very much, Modern Mafia! If you’re reading this, email us so we can listen to and plug your podcast. Mad props.

Episode 8 - April 8, 2006 and April 20, 2006

April 22nd, 2006

A jam-packed episode of Fast Times at China Buffet! It’s also a reunion of sorts. This is comprised of two adventures at China Buffet, one with Brian Krische, David Klug, Billy Kerr, and Eric Hinkel where Bill discusses a party he went to and also gets a strange cell phone call during the show, and another with Brian Krische, David Klug, Billy Kerr, Matthew Boelter, Sara Zoellick, and Jay Nunez, where Brian does the first installment of his segment “This Week In Politics” and we discuss video game violence. This episode brings all of the cast of Fast Times back together under the China Buffet roof, as well as including Eric, who was with David, Matt, and Bill on their first ever China Buffet experience, and also Jay, who was in the first episode (which is now offline).

Episode 7 - April 7, 2006

April 8th, 2006

This might be the worst episode thus far in Fast Times at China Buffet history. How bad? Well, the raw footage is an hour and was cut down to about 16 minutes. There was a lot of pauses and random bullshit talk that wasn’t interesting. On the plus side, it is only 16 minutes, so it might be worth checking out. We talk about Matt and Sara’s trip to New York and a few other random topics. Featuring Matthew Boelter, Sara Zoellick, and David Klug.

Episode 6 - March 17, 2006

March 22nd, 2006

An episode of Fast Times at China Buffet that can put the haters (all one of them so far) to shame! That’s right, on this very, very special episode, we actually have a decent and thought-provoking discussion. We discuss legal age limits, how terrorism affects the privacy of american citizens, the mysteriousness of the smoking and non-smoking sections of China Buffet, and more! Featuring Brian Krische, David Klug, and Billy Kerr.
